Europe’s biggest economy, yet Germany remains a bit of a mystery. These days you are as likely to hear warnings about Germany’s industrial collapse, as you are to read about its manufacturing prowess. How did Germany end up hostage to Russia? Is this the greatest strategic blunder since Operation Barbarossa or are Germany and Russia obvious allies -one with no energy and lots of world-class industry, one with no industry but lots of energy? What does Germany look like without Russian energy and, having had it good for so long, can Germany adjust to the new world?
