Join your fellow IGS members at a summer soirée at Shankill Castle, Paulstown, Co. Kilkenny with thanks to Elizabeth and Geoffrey Cope.

Shankill Castle began life as a tower-house built by the Butler family. In 1708, the house was rebuilt by Peter Aylward. The new Shankill Castle was constructed as a Queen Anne house and was enlarged in the 1820s.

The stableyard and castellated entrance to the demesne were built in 1850, attributed to Daniel Robertson.

Coach departure from Ballsbridge, time tba.

Party from 4pm-6pm.
