Public Art Programme at the Tea Houses, Kilkenny

Sunday 18th August 2024
Location: The Tea houses, Bateman Quay
We’re delighted to announce that the two Tea Houses, situated by the River Nore, will be activated as visible spaces for public art programmes that invite local and national artists to respond to and engage with Kilkenny.
The Tea Houses have the possibility to be an infinite number of things: a gallery, a curatorial office, a studio, a residency, a gathering, a garden, a music session, a meeting place, a library and more. This evolving public art programme will create a sustained multidisciplinary approach that encourages a sense of community and active citizenship.

This project was initiated by the Kilkenny Arts Office and the Town Regeneration Office, and is kindly funded by Kilkenny County Council Arts Office and the Arts Council of Ireland.
Keep an eye here for the full programme which will also be featured on the Kilkenny Arts Office blog.
