The Bee Gees’ Music is Still Going Strong, 66 Years after the band was formed by Maurice, Barry & Robin Gibb in 1958.
You may not be able to see the Bee Gees anymore, but you can see the ‘Nights on Broadway: The Bee Gees Story’ Live Concert Experience, a show which tells the fascinating story of the Bee Gees and their place in music history; you can listen to hit after hit from four decades of the incredible music penned by The Brothers Gibb. This show features 7 top-class Irish and UK musicians.
Known also as ‘The Irish Bee Gees’, 6 of the performers are from Ireland, with the 7th the band’s Musical Director, hailing from the UK. Individually, they have performed, recorded and guested alongside some music greats, including The Rolling Stones’ Ron Wood, Jerry Lee Lewis, Van Morrison, Thin Lizzy, The Dubliners and Don Baker.
Since its inception some years back, “Nights on Broadway: The Bee Gees Story” has been selling out theatres and hotel venues all over Ireland, and 2023 is already looking like another successful year for concert bookings and tours. The show has also toured in the UK, Germany, and The Netherlands, and was invited to perform a series of dates in Dubai in December 2019. A sold-out Vicar Street show – due to play on the day Ireland locked down – is rescheduled for late 2023.
“Nights on Broadway: The Bee Gees Story” presents a tribute to the Bee Gees through their catalogue of hits over 4 decades from the 60s to the 90s. The fully-live band blends the classic hits, acoustic medleys and killer disco tunes which define the unmistakable and versatile sound of The Bee Gees.
From the musicianship to the vocal harmonies, these guys sound so like the Bee Gees it’s scary!
