Kilkenny Arts Festival presents Niall Vallely, Liz Knowles & Niwel Tsumbu
Three musicians celebrated for their innovative approach to traditional music join forces in a thrilling fusion of genres and styles.
Kentucky fiddle player Liz Knowles, Congolese guitarist-vocalist Niwel Tsumbu and Irish concertina master Niall Vallely first played together during a tour of Ireland last year, captivating audiences with their onstage presence and joie de vivre, and their collective music-making is underpinned by a shared artistic vision rich in beautiful harmonies, striking melodies and deep rhythmic grooves.
