Laoise O’Brien has been described as a ‘crusader’ of the recorder in the press with ‘boundless imagination, and is considered Ireland’s most virtuosic performer on this historic instrument. She has appeared as soloist & guest with numerous ensembles including the Irish Chamber Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Resurgam, Sestina, Opera Theatre Company and Camerata Kilkenny. Malcolm Proud is no stranger to festival audiences, having appeared almost continuously since its very first edition – every appearance marked by his unrivalled musicianship.
