As part of the St. Patrick’s Festival Kilkenny, the Lady Desart Choir will grace the Festival Stage at The Parade with a captivating performance. This contemporary SATB (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) choir, based in medieval Kilkenny, comprises 75 members ranging in age from 25 to 82. They are renowned for their diverse repertoire, encompassing genres such as pop, classic rock, modern musical theatre, folk, and classical choral pieces.
Established in 2018 under the direction of Gillian Coulter, the Lady Desart Choir has quickly become a prominent feature in Kilkenny’s vibrant cultural scene. Notably, they headlined sold-out concerts at St. Canice’s Cathedral in both 2022 and 2023.
Their performance during the St. Patrick’s Festival is anticipated to be a highlight, offering audiences a rich blend of harmonious vocals and engaging stage presence.
