Kilkenny Comedy Club

Monday 11th September 2023
Location: Home Rule Club
School’s back and so is the Kilkenny Comedy Club’s second annual September double headliner show! This month we have the incredible Edwin Sammon and Fiona Frawley headlining with support from Kate Feeney and Patrick McLoughlin.

Edwin Sammon was the opening act for our very first show in 2022. He’s one of the most popular stand up comedians in the country over the last decade. He’s supported the likes of Ardal O’Hanlon, Jason Byrne, Deirdre O’ Kane and Tommy Tiernan . He was a regular on RTE’s Republic Of Telly and its popular spin off show Bridget And Eamon. He has played every major festival in the country and beyond and is a crowd favourite wherever he plays.

Fiona Frawley uses quick wit, dry humour and the appropriate amount of cringe to give the people what they want – jokes that make them feel better about their own awkward existence. Fiona is the resident MC at Cherry Comedy in Whelan’s, Dublin. And in Vicar St. and the Olympia Theatre she’s opened for such comedy legends as Tommy Tiernan, Doug Stanhope and Alan Carr.

Kate Feeney is a Dublin based stand-up comedian, improviser and behavioral scientist. She has performed at all the major comedy clubs and festivals in Ireland and a fast rising star of the Irish comedy scene. Currently Kate is at the Edinburgh Fringe with her solo show Thinky Winky.

Patrick McLoughlin’s early years were spent in Monte Carlo, St. Tropez and other playgrounds of the chosen few, these days you’re likely to find him wandering listlessly along the Middle Aisle at Lidl.
