The world is now divided into two camps, those who own the homes and those who don’t. Those who do have seen their status, wealth, and influence rise rapidly over the past decade; those who don’t have seen their stake in society slip away. Because housing wealth is the conveyor belt to prosperity, this divide between the “haves” and “have nots“ is exacerbating social, demographic, and regional inequalities, leading to huge lurches in voting intentions and political affiliation. When is this going to stop and who is going to stop it?
