Fundamentals of Drawing – 6 week course

This 6 week course, designed for beginners and those who want to refine their drawing skills, will offer hands on instruction in a variety of drawing techniques including, line work, tonal shading, negative space and mark-making exercises. Participants will be taught the fundamentals of drawing along with the art of observation.

Workshops are led by professional artist Rachel Burke and take place in a welcoming and supportive environment, nurturing individuals’ creative thought and practice. This 6 week course takes place on Wednesday mornings from 10.30am-2.00pm.

This course is funded by the Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board and is subsidised for participants.

Refunds are offered up to 48 hours in advance of the event. Please email events@butlergallery.ie to cancel. A full refund will be issued if the workshop is cancelled by Butler Gallery.
