Wednesday 14th August 2024
Location: Parade Tower, Kilkenny
Following Lavinia Meijer’s radical interpretation of Philip Glass’s music for harp, Crash Ensemble continues our mini-adventure through the iconic composer’s work with this tantalizing concert in the Parade Tower.
Written in 1981, Glassworks was Glass’s wildly innovative attempt to merge minimalism and pop, creating ‘classical’ pieces with infectious pop hooks. It soon became one of the composer’s most popular works, and who better to perform it in the intimate surroundings of the Parade Tower than Crash Ensemble, Ireland’s leading new music ensemble?
