Bobby Lee
Bobby Lee trades in a wide screen brand of cosmic country-folk, full of space and pawn shop guitars. There are touches of JJ Cale’s analogue Americana, the swampy groove of Tony Joe White and Richard Thompson’s sinewy, modal guitar work. Amps hum in the warm afternoon sun, kids and dogs snooze on the grass and broken drum machines keep time with the universe…Bobby released his debut album, Shakedown in Slabtown, in August 2020, on his own Natural Histories imprint, which Mojo Magazine described as “word of mouth sensation amongst discerning heads.” It was swiftly followed by Origin Myths in March 2021, released on the legendary Tompkins Square Records, becoming album of the week on Huey Morgan’s 6Music radio show and gaining support from BBC’s Late Junction, No Depression, The Guardian, NTS and WFMU, amongst others. His new LP “Endless Skyways” is due Spring 2023.
Jeffrey Silverstein
Jeffrey Silverstein is a songwriter living in Portland, Oregon. You Become The Mountain (2020), his debut LP was described as ‘cosmic country with a gentle sweetness’ by NPR and drew comparisons to Bill Frisell/David Berman. In April of 2021 Silverstein released Torii Gates, a new EP of psych-folk songs celebrating the unknown, small joys, and learning to be comfortable with transition. It features the pedal-steel work of Barry Walker Jr (Mouth Painter/North Americans/Rose City Band), Alex Chapman (Parson Red Heads) on bass and production from Ryan Oxford (Y La Bamba, Matt Dorrien, etc.). Silverstein is set to release his second LP in 2023.
Joe Harvey-Whyte
Pedal Steel guitarist, composer and sound designer Joe Harvey-Whyte began making immersive soundscapes to help ease his insomnia and tinnitus. His debut solo LP, Flatland/Spaceland is 20 minutes of music that blurs the borderlines between ambient and neoclassical to create an engaging and meditative listening experience. Joe is also an in-demand session player and has worked with a range of artists including The Magic Numbers, Susanne Sundfør, Billy Bragg, Tony Visconti, Jody Stephens, Bullion, Alabama 3 & The Hanging Stars
