Festival favourites the Carducci String Quartet mark their return to Kilkenny with this pair of lunchtime concerts embracing works by everyone from Mozart to Philip Glass.
The second concert matches Mozart’s much-loved ‘Hunt’ quartet, dedicated to Haydn, with Fanny Mendelsohn’s only string quartet, a playful and passionate work and one of the earliest surviving quartets written by a woman.
