The Barn Owl Players are presenting two one-act plays for their annual One Act Festival, ensuring a great night of entertainment.
The two plays are: Baggage by Bev Clark and In Sickness and Health by Tom Casling.

Baggage by Bev Clark is a heartwarming drama that brings together two vastly different people at a bus stop. Sandra, a busy wife, and mother is helped by Annie, who is down on her luck. Although they have preconceived notions about each other, they eventually find common ground and form a bond in this funny, emphatic play.

Tom Casling’s play, In Sickness and Health, explores the changing dynamics of a relationship when one partner becomes ill. The story follows Val as she navigates her husband Tom’s dementia and watches him transform from a lover and companion to someone who requires her care. As Tom’s health declines, Val is faced with tough decisions about their future together, making for a poignant and emotional journey.
