Since an iconic recording of ‘Aisling Gheal’ introduced his uniquely expressive voice to the world, Iarla Ó Lionáird has defied categorisation. Vocalist with the critically acclaimed Irish-American band The Gloaming, he is equally at home on the classical stage, or working with new music composers like Donnacha Dennehy, Kate Moore, Nico Muhly, Linda Buckley, Gavin Bryars and David Lang.

For this concert exploring his rich and varied repertoire, Ó Lionáird is joined by two equally talented musicians whose music effortlessly straddles genres: renowned pianist/composer Cormac McCarthy and acclaimed clarinet maestro Matthew Berrill.
