A performance by the local community Cairdeas, Kilkenny’s Parkinson’s Choir. This choir’s mission is to uplift and enhance the lives of people with Parkinson’s, their families and friends. The choir plays a role in the community in that it ensures that those with Parkinson’s can participate actively in their community. It is hoped that other people can be invited who have the condition and see the possibility of getting involved in the choir in future.

Cairdeas Choir has sung in major performance venues in Kilkenny and beyond, and has become known for their interactive, joyful delivery. They recently received a standing ovation for their performance in ‘Choirfest’ this year. For this performance, they will perform some new pieces from a more classical repertoire, and will provide a varied programme which includes poetry reading, a beautiful soprano soloist, and of course, the heavenly harmonies of the Cairdeas Choir.
