Ben Tomkins will bring one of the Celtic Steamers iconic steam engines and workman’s huts to Savour Kilkenny 2024.
Learn about the historical significance of steam engines from Ben who will showcase their vital role in the evolution of food production in Ireland.
On display you will find the Steam Engine together with the workman’s living van. This portable living and sleeping accommodation known as a living van was used during the working days of steam engines for the drivers to sleep in while out on jobs.
