This workshop will provide an introduction to a more mindful approach to food and its impact on our emotional regulation. There will be a particular emphasis on our emotional responses and the link to how we consume food. The event will focus on how to develop a more mindful approach to our food choices and how this can impact more positively on our emotional and physical well-being.
Liz Shortall is a dedicated mindfulness instructor who specializes in enhancing well-being for both children and adults. With extensive experience in working with parents, professionals, caregivers, social care workers, teachers, and children, Liz tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each group. She is particularly skilled in supporting individuals recovering from addiction, grief, or mental health challenges, offering compassionate guidance through mindfulness practices.
Gráinne Burke is a community development officer with Kilkenny LEADER Partnership, working under the Social Inclusion Activation Programme. With a strong background in Youth and Community Work and Gestalt Therapy, Gráinne brings a wealth of experience to her therapeutic practice with children, adolescents, and adults. She integrates creativity, nature, art, and writing into her work, fostering healing and growth.
