A family-friendly event that complements the Mayfair Library’s Exhibition during Culture Night week. Leave the Long Grass Grow is an exhibition of original artworks that were displayed outdoors in Kilkenny during Biodiversity Week. The Mayfair library will be hosting a series of workshops on the evening of Culture Night, where some of the artists offer the opportunity to work with natural fibres for rope-making/ bunting, embroidering on a community-created artwork and screen-printing on canvas bags for Culture Night visitors. Each visitor can take home their own bag. This is a family-oriented activity, suitable for all.

This event supports action on the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) SGD 12: Responsible consumption and production; SDG 15: Life on Land, SDG 13: Climate Action.
