Join local artist and curator, Mary Doyle Burke, this Culture Night 24, on a Culture tour and walk around the sculptures throughout Kilkenny city.

Mary Doyle Burke will guide the participants on a walk around the city to view and discuss the sculpture. It will begin outside her Art Studios (No 10, The Parade, Kilkenny) at the Parade, go through Kilkenny Castle Grounds taking in the sculpture outdoors. Participants will then walk down by the Canal to view the sculpture at the Canal Square, and onto the outdoor sculpture at Butler Gallery yard, down by the Courthouse and up towards St Canice’s. This will be the main route with others added.

Along the walk, participants will be given charcoal and pencils with clipboards and Fabriano paper and will be encouraged to sketch some aspects of the sculptures that they are drawn to.

The tour will end at An Chead Tine Art Gallery, Dunnes Stores, Kilkenny at 6pm. Participants will be given a signed, hand drawn map of the tour that was undertaken.
