Join Dublin chamber folk group Mary & The Pigeons for a special Kilkenny fringe concert featuring music from the two albums ‘Into Air’ and ‘Like Water’

Let by cellist and vocalit Mary Barnecutt, the group will play arrangements of songs featuring strings, percussion and piano.

For this event she will be joined by :

Brian Walsh – percussion

Ciaran Crilly – piano/violin

Katherine Barnecutt – viola

Mary Barnecutt is Dublin-based composer and musician who works with a wide variety of artistic and educational projects. She writes and arrange music for film, theatre, dance productions, and has collaborated with artists such as Liz Roche, Justine Doswell, Amanda Coogan, Adrian Crowley, Ruth O’Mahony Brady and Ray Harman.

She frequently works as a string arranger and soundtrack collaborator, most recently with Stephen Shannon for his Fathoms album due for release May 2023.

She is curator of the weekly Sundays at Noon concert series in Dublin’s Hugh Lane Gallery, and is co-director of Spike, Dublin’s annual alternative cello festival.
