The Irish Marble Company 1730-1930

The marble City- and the Irish marble company Highrath Maddoxstown County Kilkenny 1730 to 1930. Samples of Irish stone and marble used in the manufacturer of columns fireplaces altars including the four types of Kilkenny Marble.

Most of the quarries the marble was raised in are now closed.
Some photos of the Works will be displayed as well as some information from company accounts. Information on where the Marble and stone was quarried will be available. This takes place in Langtons John Street Kilkenny on Tuesday the 20th and Wednesday the 21st from 11 am to 7 p.m.
