Music Generation Kilkenny and Music Generation Tipperary are delighted to present ‘Trad Camp 2024’. This is an excellent opportunity for young people to take part in traditional tune workshops, arrangements and a live performance with our special guest, MICK McAULEY and the Music Generation Educator team.

PLEASE NOTE – ONLY APPLY IF YOU CAN PERFORM IN BOTH CONCERTS IN KILKENNY AND TIPPERARY

Trad Camp will be held between 2nd July and 6th July inclusive as follows:

KILKENNY PARTICIPANTS:

TUESDAY 2 JULY – 10:00am-3:30pm DANVILLE BUSINESS PARK, PURCELLSINCH, KILKENNY
WEDNESDAY 3 JULY – 10:00am – 3:30pm KILKENNY VENUE (TBD)
THURSDAY 4 JULY – 10:30am – 3:30pm CTI, CLONMEL (BUS WILL BE PROVIDED)

TIPPERARY PARTICIPANTS:

TUESDAY 2 JULY – 10:00am-3:30pm CTI, CLONMEL, TIPPERARY
WEDNESDAY 3 JULY – 10:00am-3:30pm DANVILLE BUSINESS PARK, PURCELLSINCH, KILKENNYK (BUS WILL BE PROVIDED)
THURSDAY 4 JULY – 10:30am-3:30pm CTI, CLONMEL

KILKENNY & TIPPERARY PARTICIPANTS (FULL ENSEMBLE) (Bus will be provided to Kilkenny for Tipperary Participants):

FRIDAY 5 JULY – 9:30am-2:30pm – WORKSHOP WITH PERFORMANCE IN A KILKENNY VENUE (TBC)

KILKENNY & TIPPERARY PARTICIPANTS (FULL ENSEMBLE) (Bus will be provided to Tipperary for Kilkenny participants):

SATURDAY 6 JULY – 9:30am-2:00pm WORKSHOP WITH PERFORMANCE IN TIPPERARY @ CLONMEL JUNCTION ARTS FESTIVAL
Performance Clonmel Junction Arts Festival at CTI at 12:30pm | FREE EVENT

INFORMATION:

Young musicians from all over Kilkenny and Tipperary can join. This is an opportunity for young traditional players to hone their craft and learn new tunes in a fun environment with skilled masters.

Minimum two years experience is required to take part.

Traditional tune workshops, arrangements and special live performance with MICK McAULEY and the MG Team.
Fee €80 (a payment link will be sent to your email prior to the camp starting), 5-day camp and LIVE performances
